Fear is growing among Christians that the COVID-19 vaccine may be the mark of the beast – scripture reveals the answer.

The Mystery of the Mark of the Beast
The “mark of the beast” is one of the best-known aspects of the Book of Revelation. Regardless of someone’s background, the majority of people in modern nations likely understand the reference to 666.
To accept the mark of the beast during the beast’s reign will allow you to buy and sell and carry out your life. But there is a big catch because taking the mark is to choose eternal damnation. Once you take the mark, there is no return.
So naturally, there is fear among many Christians that they may inadvertently accept this mark.
The mark of the beast is a mystery – a mystery that God has not yet revealed to us. While there are many theories about what it may be, the Bible isn’t specific. So when people hear of mandatory vaccinations for COVID-19 being proposed, they wonder if this vaccine could be the mark.
Kanye West recently stated in an interview, “So when they say the way we’re going to fix COVID is with a vaccine, I’m extremely cautious. That’s the mark of the beast. They want to put chips inside of us; they want to do all kinds of things, to make it where we can’t cross the gates of heaven.”
And Kanye is not alone in this view. Much of this fear stems from Bill Gates suggesting that vaccines sort of digital certificate.
However, I can reassure Kanye and you that the COVID-19 vaccine is not the mark of the beast.
Through the beast’s false prophet, Satan will undoubtedly want to trick us into accepting the mark. Fortunately, our loving Father has given us enough information so that we will not be fooled when that time comes.
So how will we know the mark when we see it?
The Context Around the Mark of the Beast
We will be able to identify the mark because the Bible gives us context about the circumstances around its offering.
Specifically, Scripture describes the offering of the mark in this way.
“And he makes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose fatal wound was healed. He performs great signs so that he even makes fire come down out of heaven to the earth in the presence of men.
And he deceives those who dwell on the earth because of the signs which it was given him to perform in the presence of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who had the wound of the sword and has come to life.
And it was given to him to give breath to the image of the beast so that the image of the beast would even speak and cause as many as do not worship the image of the beast to be killed.
And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hand or on their forehead,
and he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name.”
The Conditions Around the Mark of the Beast
So let’s unpack the details of this scripture.
For starters, notice that each of the statements in the scripture starts with the word “and.” In other words, the mark of the beast will not appear without all of these conditions being present.
We will know the mark when we see the following circumstances occuring:
- The resurrection of an empire that existed in the past, AND
- A (false) prophet will display great signs including making fire come down from heaven, AND
- The false prophet will tell us to create an image of the resurrected beast, AND
- The false prophet will require us to worship the image, AND
- If we do not worship the image we will be killed, AND
- The beast/false prophet will require us to take the mark, AND
- If we do not take the mark, we will not be able to buy or sell, AND
- The mark will contain the beast’s name or the number of his name (six hundred and sixty-six)
If these conditions are not present, a mark is not “the” mark of the beast.
Does the COVID-19 Vaccine Meet the Conditions for the Mark of the Beast?
So assuming the government requires us to take the COVID-19 vaccine, are these other conditions present?
Absolutely not.
So after considering these conditions, we can unequivocally state that the COVID-19 vaccine is not the mark of the beast.
By Understanding Scripture, We Will Not be Deceived.
We will continue to hear stories of possible candidates for the mark fo the beast. The latest theories point to a technology mark; anything from microchip implants to DNA alterations.
In theory, the mark could be anything that contains the name or number of the beast. But until we see all of the conditions mentioned above present, the mark will not be present.
In the coming months, I will accept a COVID-19 vaccine not only for my own health but to do my part in stamping out this virus. And I will do so with my promise for eternal salvation intact.
