Judgment at Hand: Tragedy, War & Collapse

Society’s escalating rebellion against God has brought us to a time of judgment, as evidenced by current global events – is there any hope of redemption?

We are in a Season of Judgment

The convergence of signs of judgment appearing today is overwhelming. And this convergence shows that we are in a season of judgment and a shaking of the established powers.

I’ll start with the continued disastrous results of U.S. interference in Israel. Since Biden resumed funding the Palestinians after Trump cut them off, terrorism has exploded in Israel. So it’s fair to say that the U.S. is indirectly supporting terrorism in Israel. Meanwhile, Washington continues to push for Israel to cease its settlement activity in the West Bank. There is a cost for this, and I will tell you how we paid the price in a moment.

The U.S. government is a mess under Biden. The country is abandoning God, celebrating depravity, starting unnecessary wars, and gleefully racing toward economic collapse. Like an out-of-control teen self-destructing, the U.S. is a train wreck.

Meanwhile, nuclear inspectors in Iran reported that Iran has reached weapons-grade uranium enrichment. Despite years of warnings, no one stopped it, giving Israel little choice but to act.

To the north, Russia is unfurling next-generation weapons of mass destruction, and the only response the U.S. has is to escalate. Instead of compromising with Putin at the start of the crisis, the U.S. arrogantly inflamed the situation. Now Biden and Congress are risking nuclear war under the leash of a Ukrainian autocrat masking as a bastion of democracy.

On the current trajectory, many people will die. Lives will be ruined, and property will be destroyed. We see this happening before our eyes. So let’s turn our eyes from the seen to the unseen.

I assure you that all these things have a reason for happening, and these times have been foretold. This is a time of judgment before God pours out His wrath on the earth. This is a time of opportunity. And the Bible instructs us on what to do now and how to be in the remnant who will be saved.

So let’s start with the train wreck – not the metaphorical one, but the one that happened in Ohio. Surprisingly, this story begins in Israel.

Judgment for Interfering in Israel

In resuming funding to the Palestinians, Biden has disregarded the Taylor Act, which restricts funding a Palestinian administration that funds “pay for slay” programs. Circumventing the law, the Biden Administration has funneled hundreds of millions of dollars to the Palestinians through NGOs. In the two years since Biden took office, 48 Israeli Jews have been killed in terrorist attacks compared to only three over Trump’s entire presidency. Israeli Jewish blood is on U.S. hands.

Advancing relations with the Palestinian Authority (P.A.) on February 2nd, Secretary of State Blinken met with Palestinian leader Abbas. At the meeting, Blinken pledged an additional billion dollars in aid to the P.A. even though some of those funds end up in the PA Martyr’s Fund. This fund pays families of deceased terrorists who were martyred while committing terrorist acts. Blinken also reiterated the U.S.’s commitment to the two-state solution, which denies Israel’s right to its God-given land.

The escalated violence has occurred in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, land that God gave to Isreal in an everlasting covenant. And in 1967, in the face of extinction and overwhelming Arab forces, God gave Israel victory and miraculously restored this land to them.

I have documented over 30 years of events on this site showing that when the U.S. interferes with Israel’s covenanted land, destruction hits the U.S., affecting its land and residents. I’ve even found instances where the names of towns hit seem to convey a message of judgment. (See my posts related to this topic below.)

After reading of Blinken’s visit, I was on the lookout for an imminent natural disaster to occur. But something else happened. The next day, February 3rd, a train wrecked, spilling hazardous chemicals. The railroad decided to burn the chemicals off rather than risk an explosion. But in doing so, they may have released highly toxic dioxins into the air that will rain down over a much broader area than the vicinity of the wreck. And where did this tragedy occur? In a town named Palestine.

Is this a coincidence or judgment for again interfering with Israel’s covenanted land? Remember, the Bible tells us that God will bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse it.

As usual, I want to be sensitive to the people impacted by this event. If this is judgment, God is not to blame, but rather the foolish politicians who work against His everlasting covenant with Abraham and the land of Israel.

A War of the Blind and Deaf

The world appears to be teetering on the brink of World War III. It is only one spark away. Despite the apparent risks, the U.S. is hell-bent on fighting Russia and surrounding it with NATO countries and weapons. This is a top priority for Biden and much of Congress, and it is a fool’s errand. Support the Ukrainian people, yes, but to risk the potential for millions to die is wreckless.

In early December 2021, before the invasion of Ukraine, Biden could have pushed NATO to consider Putin’s demands and negotiate. Putin’s primary message was simple – stop surrounding Russia with NATO countries, troops, and weapons. Included in these demands was a ban on accepting Ukraine into NATO.

Was this such an unreasonable request? Would the U.S. not act similarly if a Russia/China/Iran alliance sought to bring Mexico into their fold? But did you know that the U.S. was once in a similar position as Russia? And the sitting President brought the country to the brink of nuclear war over the issue.

You’ve probably at least heard of the 1961 Bay of Pigs invasion and the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis. The CIA trained Cuban exiles in Guatemala to invade Cuba and provided American aircraft for the first wave. The invasion failed. After this, Russia began building a ballistic missile site in Cuba. This crisis was the closest we may have ever been to nuclear war with Russia. Fortunately, nuclear war was averted when Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev’s offered to remove the Cuban missiles in exchange for the U.S. promising not to invade Cuba.

Was this situation so different? Biden was 20 years old when this happened – he lived it. Did he not see the parallel?

But I think in Biden’s eyes, Russia is evil, and the U.S. is good. While in Putin’s eyes, the U.S. is evil, spreading pornography, LGBTQ lifestyles, and transgenderism while it tries to surround Russian with war pacts and missile sites. This a war of the blind.

But now, we once again stand on the brink of potential nuclear war because of foolishness. An estimated 300,000 people have died, and we drove Russia to seek allies in China, North Korea, and Iran. Even now, Russia says they will not negotiate unless the U.S. listens to its position. This is a war of the deaf.

The U.S. has been blind and deaf. And if we continue down the road to war, it means one thing… it is time. It is the appointed time for the world to descend into war, and the current powers broken; it is a time of judgment. It is the time of the second horseman.

The Seeds of the War of God & Magog

Bloomberg just reported that in Iran, the International Atomic Energy Agency has detected uranium enriched to levels of 84%, just below nuclear weapons-grade. After the announcement, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced in a security conference that military action is the only way to stop Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons. He cited the failure of sanctions and diplomacy in stopping North Korea and the success of military pressure in Iraq and Syria.

Netanyahu has repeatedly made it clear that he will not accept a nuclear Iran. Iran is now on the brink of obtaining weapons-grade uranium. This means that Israel is on the brink of war with Iran. And Iran, whose leadership wants to destroy Israel and unleash the end times, has made it clear that it will rain thousands of missiles down on Israel if Israel attacks.

The Middle East is about to erupt. The alliances will form along Ezekiel 38 lines, the prophecy of the war of Gog and Magog. And in the turmoil to come, Jerusalem will become the prize, and a leader will rise who will take it.

Judgment – The Enemy to Come to the U.S.

I have written a few posts forecasting that an enemy will enter the U.S. at some point. If there is a world war, it will not be like WWII, when the U.S. mainland was undisturbed. Technology has shrunk the world with ICBMs, hypersonic cruise missiles, drones, and stealth nuclear submarines.

But alarmingly, there are indications that a stealthy enemy may have already entered the country. In 2022 agents along the southern border stopped 98 individuals on the government’s terror watchlist from entering the country. During the four years of the Trump administration, only 11 such encounters with terror-list individuals occurred. With an estimated 1.2 million people who have come through the border and evaded border agents, it is hard to imagine how many terror-list suspects successfully entered the country. Could there be terror plots forming right now among those who entered the country undeterred?

(And as we have enabled terrorism to increase in Israel, may the Lord bring terrorism to our shores?)

But a hidden enemy may already be attacking. Back in the middle of 2022, several people on social media questioned the large number of fires at food processing plants. They questioned if this trend indicated that someone was sabotaging our food supply. Every fact-checking group squashed this immediately, stating that there was no evidence of arson in these fires.

But looking back at the full year, the trend continued. According to a supply chain journal, there were 3,609 factory fire alerts in 2022, up from 1,946 in 2021, an 85% increase. And 2021 has increased 29% over 2020, which means there were approximately 1,508 in 2020. So the number of fires in 2022 was 2.4 times that in 2020. The third most common fires were food processing plants.

These are not insignificant numbers. So while the fact-checkers say, “there is nothing to see here,” this is not the case. The trend shows there is something to see. Is this sabotage on our supply chain?

I don’t know the answer. But we can’t rule it out and dismiss everyone who questions the trend as conspiracy theorists. To do so is closed-minded and makes us subject to deception and manipulation.

What to Do in the Face of Judgment

Throughout the Bible, when God speaks of judgment and calamity, He offers a way out through repentance.

When COVID-19 hit, churches everywhere began to quote 2 Chronicles 7:14-15 in this way, “If… My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

But they would skip over an entire phrase after the word “If.” The disregard line states, “If I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among My people…”

Yes, they ignored the possibility that we were under judgment. How can you repent from a sin if you don’t even recognize that it sin can cause judgment? We, as a people, have sinned against God. Our land is under judgment. We must repent for the sins of the world, or the world will face His wrath.

Like the times of Joel the prophet, the enemy is at our door. With the enemy bearing down, Joel instructed his people to stop what they were doing and immediately appeal to God. “‘Yet even now,’ declares the Lord, ‘Return to Me with all your heart, And with fasting, weeping and mourning; And rend your heart and not your garments.‘”

And Jesus, speaking to the church, stated, “…repent; or else I am coming to you quickly, and I will make war against them with the sword of My mouth.“

Repent and live! Ezekiel 18. Continue in your ways a die! Jeremiah 8:6.

But we can take some comfort that even when society does not repent, God saves a remnant.

God Will Save a Remnant

God will save a righteous remnant. He will rescue them from destruction, just as He did with Noah and Lot. The apostle Paul revealed how a remnant from Isaiah’s prophecy would include both Jews and gentiles who will be saved from the wrath that God has patiently stored. He stated, “…it is the remnant that will be saved; for the Lord will execute His word on the earth…“

Jesus gave us reason to have hope when the signs of the Day of the Lord’s vengeance appear, stating, “But when these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads because your redemption is drawing near.“

Be in the remnant. If you haven’t repented, repent. If you haven’t fasted, fast. Mourn over your country and its people, and pray for their eyes to be opened. Stand on the rock so you will not be swept away by the flood. Do not be like the dead in spirit. Treat your family with loving kindness. Avoid online temptations. Make amends with those you have wronged. Forgive those who have wronged you. Love God with all your heart and all your soul, and all your strength. Surrender your will to Him and do His will.
